I had a fantastic stay at this resort! We loved how clean everything was and the facilities were simply fabulous. The pool area was perfect for our family, and the food was amazing, especially the arancini. On the downside, the rooms could get a bit stuffy since the windows only open a tiny bit, so that was somewhat uncomfortable. Overall, a great place for a family getaway!

Rooms

The rooms were spacious and clean, with separate bedrooms that worked perfectly for our family. We had all the amenities we needed, but it did feel a bit stuffy since the windows barely opened.
Service

The staff were lovely and incredibly accommodating, catering to our dietary needs and ensuring we had a wonderful experience.
Location

The resort is situated on a hill but is within walking distance to several sandy beaches, making it really convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
8.0
We enjoyed a variety of tasty meals during our stay, with breakfast being particularly good. However, it did get a bit busy later in the morning.
Facilities

The facilities were fabulous, especially the pool which was great for both adults and kids. Just wish there was more ventilation in the rooms.

7.2/10

We had a wonderful family stay at Sands over the Easter break! The facilities made our experience extra special, especially with the large wheeled buggies available for families and the fantastic play amenities for kids. However, for a family of four paying over £200 a night during the busy season, I had higher expectations regarding the room's comfort and overall value for money. Plus, while we encountered friendly and helpful staff, the dining service was somewhat inconsistent.

Rooms
6.0
The room we stayed in felt a bit basic and sterile. Although it was clean and had a nice view of the pool and countryside, it could definitely use some modernization.
Service
7.0
The staff were really polite and friendly, but the service at dinner and breakfast could use better organization, especially since I often had to chase after things like cutlery and bread.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic! Just a short walk to the beach and perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, which made it convenient for family outings.
Dining
6.0
Dinner got better after the first night, but breakfast options were just okay and sometimes felt underwhelming for the price we paid.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had great facilities, especially for families, like the kids' club and various activities. However, everything could’ve been tidied up a bit more around the pool area.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which was both spacious and well-maintained. The staff provided exceptional service that made our experience truly enjoyable. The only downside was the price we paid, as it felt a bit steep for what we received, especially concerning the breakfast options. Overall, it was a lovely experience, perfect for families looking to unwind.

Rooms
9.0
Our room was very spacious, with a clever layout that divided the kids' beds and our double bed effectively. After a discussion with the reception, we were moved to a better suite, which was perfect for the four of us.
Service
10.0
The staff really stood out for their accommodating nature, especially when it came to our dietary needs. They truly made us feel welcome and took extra care to ensure we had everything we needed.
Location
8.0
The hotel is pleasantly located on the edge of town, making it a peaceful retreat while still being close enough to explore Newquay and visit local attractions.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast included was mostly satisfactory with a variety of options, but I would have loved more choices for lunch and dinner, especially at that price point.
Facilities
9.0
The amenities were great, especially the pools and the entertaining maze and playgrounds that entertained the kids quite well.

We had a great family getaway at this hotel. It was very kid-friendly with lots of activities for our children, making it easy for us to relax. The staff were incredibly helpful, but some areas of the hotel seemed a bit worn and could use an update. Overall, it's a solid choice for families looking for a comfortable stay at a fair price.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay. The hotel offers great facilities for families, but I was left feeling a bit disappointed in terms of value for the price. The rooms were spacious but in need of some updating, and the dining options could use improvement, particularly in quality and availability. However, the friendly staff and enjoyable kids' activities were definite highlights of my visit.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and clean but unfortunately a bit tired and in need of an update. The room setup with separate areas for the parents and kids was great, but the only windows that open can only do so a tiny bit, making the room stuffy.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always positive and accommodating to my family's needs. However, it seemed like they could use a bit more direction sometimes.
Location
8.0
The location was nice, with the resort being in walking distance to sandy beaches and having a good atmosphere for families. It does sit on a steep hill, which made access a bit tricky at times.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was average. While there was a rotating menu, I found the food to be okay but nothing special, and the prices felt a bit steep for what was offered.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities for families were excellent, with a well-maintained indoor pool and fun areas for kids to play. However, the lack of food service at certain times was a bit frustrating.
